All my friends ditched on me for new years! That's a stunning fact I had never anticipated. So I made different plans, twice, and those fell through! So I stayed in the photolab in solitude until morning. Then I hiked Cadillac with these goons, and it made me feel like maybe this year would be different that all those before it. If it was worse than this past year (Bog rest its' rotten soul) than maybe I'm slightly better prepared for it. I just hope things get better, although I never stop doubting that there's worse on the way.

Aloof
Very recently I have developed a new sense of freedom. I don't know what it is, but I drive past my exit on the interstate and keep going. I drive by my house instead of going directly home. I wander a lot more than I have been.

Times Flies
We live on a wet round and crowded rock called Earth. It is the only rock that we know of that has life. We are a significant insignificance in the universe. I think that's what lets us see the beauty within ourselves and on Earth.

I used to think time was of the essence
This was how I spent one of my days, I took pictures, I was chased, I was yelled at in spanish, I took more photos, I smiled, I learned, and I missed where I was born. Maine is a sensible, sensible place. Mexico is not.
This is my family in a nutshell

The Good Times Are Killing Me
Everything, rocks, trees, humans, we all cast shadows. Is it to remind us of where we have been, what we have seen, or is it to say that life is always changing. I will not say adapting, that would imply things are always getting better, but they are always changing.
Winter is the quietest time of the year. No bird songs, no children playing, there are just little puffs of smoke coming from all the chimneys.
The sun rises every morning. The sun sets every evening. Why do we watch it every day? We know we had a day that was different than all the rest. That something went right, or far awry. We cannot remember the individual moments. They all seem the same, but the day as a whole was completely different. In fact you have never had a day like this before.
